Sterile, single-use insulin syringes with the needle already attached. The barrel is marked in U-100 units: 100 units = 1 ml, so each unit is 0.01 ml.
Choosing a size: - Barrel: 0.5 ml (50 units) or 1 ml (100 units). The smaller barrel has more space between the markings, so small amounts are easier to read. - Needle thickness (gauge): the higher the number, the thinner the needle – 31G is thinner than 29G. - Needle length: 6 mm, 8 mm or 12.7 mm.
Each syringe is individually packed and sealed. Use it once, then put it in a sharps container.
